Collection of Dr. Geoffrey Alton Craig Herklots (1902-1986), acquired in Hong Kong between 1928 and 1941, and thence by descent. 

Dr. Geoffrey Alton Craig Herklots (1902-1986) was a British botanist, ornithologist and author of several illustrated field guides. He was a professor in biology at Hong Kong University from 1928 to 1941. To commemorate his legacy and contributions to the field, the Eria herklotsii orchid is named after him.
