A three-coloured gold snuffbox, Vienna, circa 1835,

rectangular with rounded corners, the lid centred with two fighting lions chased in high relief on a sablé ground, within scrolling foliage, a flower bouquet en trois couleurs to each corner, chased scrolls and rose gold bands in between, the waisted sides decorated in alternating reeded bands and plain polished ones within scrolling borders, laurel wreaths on a sablé ground to corners, slightly protruding thumbpiece, the base decorated with a scrollwork border around diaper engine-turning, illegible maker’s mark and further rubbed mark, town mark ,
