Description
[Apollo 1]
Autographs of the Full Apollo 1 Crew, Plus Early Armstrong, Anders, Cooper, and Conrad
Card 47/8 x 63/4 in. (framed: 11 x 13 in.), signed in black ink by Apollo 1 crew members Gus Grissom, Ed White, and Robert Chaffee, as well as Neil Armstrong, Bill Anders, Gordon Cooper, and Charles Conrad.
Note across the top reads: "These autographs were attained at the Apollo Saturn 202 / Launch 8/25/66"
VERY RARE SIGNATURES OF THE FULL APOLLO 1 CREW, PLUS EARLY SIGNATURES OF NEIL ARMSTRONG, BILL ANDERS, GORDON COOPER, AND CHARLES CONRAD, all obtained at the launch of Apollo Saturn 202 on 8 August, 1966.
The Apollo-Saturn 202 marked the first time a spacecraft included fuel cells and a guidance/navigation system. This suborbital test flight (unmanned) of the Apollo command and service module jump started the Apollo program, and led to the successful launch of men into Earth orbit.
