Flemish Follower of Annibale Carracci | Flämischer Nachfolger von Annibale Carracci

This composition follows a canvas of the same subject painted by Annibale Carracci in about 1590–1591 that is today in a private collection.¹ Annibale's composition was taken up also at a much larger scale by his cousin, Ludovico Carracci, in a painting in the Galleria Doria Pamphilj in Rome.²
