The reference 1585 was in production from 1944 until 1953. What stands out about the 1585 is its distinctive and attractive hooded scroll lugs. Despite the design of the unusual lugs, at 34 mm the 1585 is a very wearable timepiece that harks back to a bygone era of sophistication and class. The present watch is part of the second series with the calibre 12-400. According to scholar, it is estimated that there were less than 50 pieces made for the yellow gold second series.
