Founded in 1999, François-Paul Journe is the first watchmaker to create all of its movements in 18k pink gold after his brass movements era. An example of this innovation is the Octa Automatique Lune, which features an elegantly enlarged date display, moon phases, and the robust 1300.3 calibre. The movement of the Octa Automatique Lune has seen some minor updates. For instance, an optimized winding system was introduced, enabling the watch to self-wind with minimal movement. These enhancements have made this model more efficient for the wearer than ever before. The present lot is cased in pink gold, representing a sublime fusion of high watchmaking technicality and romantic elegance.
