Breguet is a brand steeped in horological history. One need only think about the list of components named after the famed brand and person: Breguet hands, Breguet numerals, Breguet overcoil, the list goes on. The present Breguet Empire encapsulates the best of the storied maison, with its classic yellow gold case and beautiful dial with guilloché texture.

Furthermore, the case back is engraved TADC for a company called Les Textiles Artificiels which specialised in weaving viscose clothing. This company originally named France-Rayonne was created in 1940, after the war it became TADC for Textiles Artificiels du Centre and eventually ceased trading in 1989. This watch was presumably bought from Breguet by TADC as a gift to an employee for long service.
