The RM07-01 Racing Red by Richard Mille pays tribute to their eponymous racing team, which made its debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship in April 2021. The Richard Mille Racing Team, featuring an all-female trio of drivers, competes in a vibrant red Oreca Gibson race car. This bold and fiery machine serves as the direct inspiration for the RM 07-01 Racing Red, a striking limited edition timepiece produced in just 50 pieces. The watch captures the spirit of speed, innovation, and teamwork that defines the racing team, making it a fitting homage to their competitive journey.

The RM 07-01 is powered by the in-house CRMA2 movement, which is mounted on a skeletonized titanium baseplate. Both the baseplate and bridges undergo fine-blasting and electroplasma treatment to ensure exceptional stability and perfectly even surfaces. The movement also incorporates Richard Mille’s fast-rotating barrel, which completes a rotation in just 5 hours instead of the traditional 7.5 hours. Paired with a 5N red gold rotor, the watch offers a robust power reserve of 50 hours. The rotor features Richard Mille’s signature variable geometry system, allowing the oscillating weight’s position to be adjusted. This innovative feature enables a watchmaker to tailor the winding speed to match the wearer’s activity level, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
