Pandolfini, Florence, 27 November 2014, lot 142.

The Ottoman-inspired conical form of the coffee pot with its side handle is rare. Only one other coffeepot of identical shape and similar decoration is known, preserved in the Museo Internazionale della Ceramica, Faenza (inv. no. 1103), painted in the same contrasting palette of blue with a purple-manganese ground. A complete service of this type, though decorated in imitation of Chinese blue-and-white porcelain, was published by C. Ravanelli Guidotti (2009, no. 14) and appeared in the Finarte Milan sale of the Villa Prinetti collection, 15–17 October 1993, lot 240.
