A large spinach-green jade vase and cover
Qing dynasty, 19th century
清十九世紀 碧玉雕八吉祥紋如意耳活環大蓋瓶
of flattened pear shape, resting on a stepped splayed foot and rising to a galleried mouth, surmounted by a domed cover with chamfered rim and stepped oblong finial, the neck and shoulders with a pair of ruyi scepter-form handles suspending loose rings, the body carved in low relief with the 'Eight Buddhist Emblems' below a band of meandering scroll at the neck and lappets on the cover, the stone a translucent emerald-green with opaque flecks of apple-green and black (2)
