the seal of tapering cylindrical form on a spreading base, the pink and yellow gold-mounted base of the seal chased with acanthus leaftips, the carnelian matrix blank, the blotter and its handle applied on either side with pink gold ribbon-tied sprays of yellow gold laurel leaves and berries, with further leaftip, beading and ribbon-tied wreath chasing, both items struck with workmaster's initials, 56 standard, the blotter with scratched inventory number 9813, the seal with scratched inventory number 14132
