A Stevens and Williams Intaglio-Cut Green Glass Decanter and Stopper and Seven Glasses, Circa 1900


attributed to Joshua Hodgetts, of bottle shape cut with bands of foliate scrolls within straps of oval facets, the glasses with similar cut foliate scroll decoration. 9 pieces.

height of glasses 4 in., 10.2 cm

Stevens and Williams were one of the leading glass manufacturers in England towards the end of the 19th Century and Joshua Hodgetts one of their engravers. His work is recognizable by his distinctive floral engraving.
