Founded by German watchmaker Gerhard Diedrich Wilhelm Wempe in 1878, the prestigious jeweler has expanded from a German company into an international business. Since 1972, Herbert Wempe has received an official license from Patek Philippe to retail their extravagant timepieces in Hamburg. Retailed by Wempe in 2003, the present reference 5125 was released to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the collaboration between Wempe and Patek Philippe. Limited to 125 pieces only, the present watch is accompanied by its certificate and all original accessories. The watch has been retained in close to new condition and can be considered an important additional to any collection.
