The reference 16808 (18k yellow gold) and 16800 (stainless steel) are both very significant references as they represent the modern era of the Submariner. These 2 references were the first submariners to be fitted with a sapphire crystal and have the option of a quick date change.
Only made in 18k yellow gold the reference 16808 were available in 2 versions, either fitted with a black dial or a blue dial such as the present watch.
