Rolex introduced the Day-Date model in 1956, offered in either gold or platinum as a more complex alternative to the beloved Datejust. Reference 18026 was amongst the first Day-Date's that were upgraded with the five-digit reference numbering system and 3055 automatic caliber. This rare variant was offered in platinum with or without diamonds. Not only is the Day-Date model one of the most iconic lines that Rolex offers, but also is an elegant and timeless wristwatch that can be worn for a variety of occasions. The present watch is very rare, and an excellent example of a Rolex Day-Date.
