In 2023, an almost heady, 'inebriating' scent of briary, heathery elegance and refinement. On the palate, the utterly silky texture beguiles you into suddenly realising it also has power and, above all, length of flavour. Succulent redcurrants all through, with juiciness, breed and orangey fruit, finishing with the sweetness of mature Pinot Noir from a tremendous site. One's thoughts went to the late great genius, Charles Rousseau. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
