First launched in 1976, the Nautilus stands as one of Patek Philippe’s most iconic and enduring watch designs. Inspired by maritime portholes, the original reference 3700 has come to epitomize the concept of the ultimate luxury sports watch.
Displaying date, power reserve, and moon phase indications, reference 5712 is the successor to reference 3712. The updated version features a larger 43 mm case, a dial with narrower horizontal grooves, and redesigned hour markers compared to its predecessor. Introduced in 2006 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus, reference 5712 remained in Patek Philippe’s catalog until 2025—a remarkable 19-year production span that attests to its enduring popularity.
The model is fitted with a sapphire crystal case back, allowing a clear view of the beautifully finished automatic movement, where one can admire the Poinçon de Genève—attesting to the exceptional craftsmanship and quality of its construction. Dating from 2006, the present example is offered in excellent overall condition and complete with its full set of accessories.
