This ‘Association Edition’ jersey was signed and worn by Franz Wagneron March 13, 2025, when the Orlando Magic played the New Orleans Pelicans.
Wagner finished with 27 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal. The Magic beat the Pelicans, 113-93.
Franz Wagner was drafted with the 8th pick in the 1st round of the 2021 draft out of the University of Michigan. Wagner has a versatile game, showing surprising quickness and ball handling for his size. He has steadily improved in nearly every statistic since his rookie season, emerging as one of the most exciting talents on a young Magic team alongside star Paolo Banchero.
Wagner was a 2022 NBA All-Rookie First Team selection. He was also a 2023 All-FIBA World Cup Second Team selection after helping Germany win their first-ever FIBA Basketball World Cup title. Wagner lit up the courts the past summer in Paris as well, with his deft athletic ability a major asset to his home country of Germany.
