A good collection of Fletcher's works on political theory with a distinguished provenance. The Edinburgh imprints were most likely published by Fletcher himself, the first in this volume discussing standing armies, the second the economic crises facing Scotland (written just before the Darien venture), the third an ironic work on the Spanish Succession (using Campanella and Machiavelli as models), and the fourth a supplement updating his opinion about the Spanish Succession.
