A pair of doucai 'floral' bowls, Seal marks and period of Daoguang | 清道光 鬥彩折枝花卉紋盌一對 《大清道光年製》款

See a pair of closely related bowls from the Weishaupt Collection, illustrated in Gunhild Avitabile and G. Weishaupt, Vom Schatz der Drachen / From the Dragon’s Treasure: Chinese Porcelain from the 19th and 20th centuries in the Weishaupt Collection, Museum für Kunsthandwerk, London, 1987, cat. no. 18; and another closely related bowl from the Simon Kwan Collection, exhibited and illustrated in Imperial Porcelain of Late Qing, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, 1983, cat. no. 28. Compare also a few closely related examples that have appeared at auction, such as a pair, previously in the Edward T. Chow Collection, sold twice in our Hong Kong rooms, 19th May 1981, lot 553, and then again, 22nd April 2021, lot 3639; one sold at Christie‘s London, 12th May 2014, lot 336; and another sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 31st May 2011, lot 4001.
