Scoot Henderson was a guard for G League Ignite before the 2023 NBA Draft. Henderson was drafted with the 3rd overall pick in the 1st round by the Portland Trail Blazers.

Having earned a five-star rating as a recruit from the class of 2022, Henderson accelerated his high school studies, completing them approximately 1.5 years ahead of schedule to join Ignite. In his inaugural season with Ignite, he showcased his skills by averaging 14.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.67 steals in 21 games. 

Henderson secured the second-highest number of assists (89) and steals (35) on the Ignite, achieving notable milestones such as a 30-point game, four 20-point games, and two double-doubles.

In his first season with the Trail Blazers Henderson proved to be a crucial addition to the young squad. Henderson helped lead the struggling Blazers in the 2023-2024 season with his versatile scoring and playmaking leading the team in assists with 336.
