Excellent level and appearance; Excellent niveau et excellente apparence

Less dense colour than 2000. Scented, aromatic, redcurrant nose. Spicy and peppery. Such elegance and finesse. Then the chocolate comes after an hour in the glass. There is a touch of beautiful oak on the palate, with masses of come-hither fruit. This is a great 1999. Fine textured. Seamless and silky. The cellar of a gentleman collector, featuring four decades of Petrus, Lafite and Mouton Rothschild, alongside many other Bordeaux wonders. The collection also showcases the love of the owner for Italy's finests, including a comprehensive selection of Sassicaia, Masseto, Ornellaia and Tignanello. All the wines have been acquired from UK and European reputable wine merchants and recently removed for a temperature-controlled private cellar.
