93% Tinto Fino, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon. This was a big yield so up to 40% green harvest was practised at Vega, giving this quality. An exuberant nose, beautifully 'out', open and attractive. My comment was, 'this is all over you like a Labrador puppy'! Fresh and full of winning ways. A lovely fine-grained texture. You can broach this from now with enormous pleasure and always drink it before the 1999 and 1998. Serena Sutcliffe, MW

The cellar of a gentleman collector, featuring four decades of Petrus, Lafite and Mouton Rothschild, alongside many other Bordeaux wonders. The collection also showcases the love of the owner for Italy's finests, including a comprehensive selection of Sassicaia, Masseto, Ornellaia and Tignanello. All the wines have been acquired from UK and European reputable wine merchants and recently removed for a temperature-controlled private cellar.
