In 2019, a glorious, lingering perfume of red fruit, oozing charm - maybe like 1953 when it was much younger. On the palate, it is all velvety fruit, beautifully balanced and at peace with itself. Harmony and freshness and clearly still with a future. Not a blockbuster, with the tannin, say, of 1986 - more of a fruity charmer. Serena Sutcliffe, MW

Provenance:

The cellar of a gentleman collector, featuring four decades of Petrus, Lafite and Mouton Rothschild, alongside many other Bordeaux wonders. The collection also showcases the love of the owner for Italy's finests, including a comprehensive selection of Sassicaia, Masseto, Ornellaia and Tignanello. All the wines have been acquired from UK and European reputable wine merchants and recently removed for a temperature-controlled private cellar.

La collection met également en valeur la passion du propriétaire pour les plus grand vins italiens, notamment une sélection complète de Sassicaia, Masseto, Ornellaia et Tignanello. Tous les vins ont été acquis auprès de cavistes réputés au Royaume-Uni et en Europe et ont récemment été transférés depuis une cave privée à température contrôlée.
