Patek Philippe

Reference 5004 was launched in 1994 and produced for over 15 years until 2009, offered in all four precious metals. Inheriting the design from the popular perpetual calendar chronograh reference 3970, the reference 5004 is further incorporated by a split seconds chronograph, allowing the user to measure the timing of two intervals. Employing the use of the mechanical calibre 27-70, this would be the last instance of Patek Philippe to feature a Lemania based movement for a perpetual calendar split seconds chronograph, and was replaced by the reference 5204 in 2012, which has an in-house calibre. The present example of the reference 5004 exhibits a subtle yet elegant black dial, contrasting in superb fashion with the noble case of white gold. Its case could be easily recognized for its oversized crown, with the split seconds feature on it. A favourite among collectors for its highly prized complications, the reference 5004 is a mechanical marvel and displays the world renowned watchmaking mastery of Patek Philippe.
