the raised fret-carved gallery with a shelf and urn finials, the secretaire drawer with twin-panelled front and S-patterned keyhole, revealing an arrangement of eleven drawers and pigeonholes, the upper drawer to each corner with secret drawer behind, with four further long drawers below, on shaped bracket feet, the underside and reverse with red wash, the reverse inscribed in yellow chalk KNIGHT
