Description
the dish painted in the center with a large lotus blossom rising from a pond with a pair of mandarin ducks swimming nearby, the cavetto incised with lotus flowers below a diaper border at the rim reserved with cartouches decorated with flowers and insects, the exterior gilded with bamboo and prunus on a café-au-lait ground, the bowl similarly decorated, both with incised Japanese Palace inventory number N=167I
