Description

PINOCCHIO

30 x 22 x 3.5 in. A set of production-used, 3D-printed “Pinocchio” replacement faces in repurposed pizza box cardboard storage container, presented in acrylic vitrine. With wall-mounting hardware.

"Guillermo Del Toro: Crafting Pinnocchio." December 11, 2022-April 15, 2023. Museum of Modern Art.

Each of the 3D printed Pinocchio Replacement faces contained in the present lot were used in the production of Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio (2022). The Pinocchio animation team stored each of the replacement faces in these repurposed pizza boxes for delivery to a particular stage for a particular scene in which they are used.

For their exhibition Guillermo del Toro: Crafting Pinnochio that ran from December 4 2022, to April 15, 2023, MoMA encased several of these pizza boxes, including the lot on offer here, of Pinocchio faces in acrylic vitrines for display.
