The biannual sale Style - Mobilier et Objets d’Art is a tribute to the decor of the great Parisian stately homes, comprising not only important furniture and objets d’art with prestigious provenance but also more accessible and charming pieces. It is precisely this combination that brings character to these interiors, where beauty is the watchword.
The Style sale offers works from several private collections, including the contents of the château de Verteuil from the Comtes de La Rochefoucauld, unchanged since the 19th century when the Comte Hippolyte de La Rochefoucauld (1804-1893) completely refurbished the château after a long stay in Florence, Tuscany. Among the star lots of this sale is a nice group of tapestries and a commode by Leleu. The sale follows with more decorative lots: magnificent oil lamps, Meissen porcelain services and a multitude of objects carefully selected for their high quality and decorative effect.
