• Movement: nickel lever escapement, bi-metallic compensation balance, barrel bridge, and the backplate numbered 78266 and signed Girard- stamped Alfred Courvoisier Jonais, calendar work on a separate plate hinged into the case and operated via motion work driven from the centre wheel, the calendar work advanced via a cam with protruding lever acting on a further lever through an aperture to the pearled backplate of the calendar dial, the dial's backplate signed and numbered Girard-Perregaux Chaux-de-Fonds no.78266  

• Dials: first - white enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute ring, sunken subsidiary seconds, pink gold spade hands, 18ct yellow gold, the covers fully chased and engraved with flowers and foliage, the front with vacant cartouche, covers signed and numbered Girard-Perregaux, 78266, case maker's mark JF N beneath a crown
