A GOLD OPEN-FACED QUARTER REPEATING MUSICAL WATCH WITH ALARM

CIRCA 1825


Movement: gilded 3/4 plate movement, ruby cylinder escapement, Lépine barrel for going train, pivoted barrel for the alarm mechanism, musical barrel, repeating on two gongs, music playing on demand via a slide to the band or at pre-selected alarm time

Dial: white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, inner alarm chapter, outer minute chapters, blued steel hands and short alarm hand

Case: gold engine-turned, reeded bezels and band, plunge pendant, numbered 8199, indistinct gold marks, gilt metal cuvette signed Moulinie Bautte & Moynier, à Geneve
