wearing long flowing robes tied at the waist with elaborate sashes, his left hand clutching a peach and his right hand holding on to a gnarled wood staff, his face smiling and with a benevolent expression 

Height 20.7 cm, 8 1/8 in.

Formerly in the collection of Robert de Billy (1869-1953), French ambassador to Japan and friend of Marcel Proust.
