This home ‘City Edition’ jersey was worn by Stephen Curry on November 25, 2024, when the Golden State Warriors played the Brooklyn Nets.
Curry finished with 28 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, and 1 steal. The Warriors lost to the Nets. 128-120.
On this day Curry made 8 three-pointers which is a phenomenal feat that Curry does on a daily basis.
Inspired by the Golden Gate Bridge, the Golden State Warriors 'City Edition' jersey is amongst the rarest and most uniquely designed jerseys in the NBA. The Warriors 'City Edition' jersey will only be worn by the team for 8 games during the 2024-2025 NBA Season. The colors are inspired by the beautiful red of the Golden Gate Bridge and the lettering pays homage to a historical plaque on the south tower of the bridge, honoring the individuals who worked to construct it. The details of the design are truly in the side panel which features the distinctive art deco style towers of the Golden Gate Bridge with every subtle detail shown down to the rivets in the towers.
As the most famous Warrior and one of the greatest NBA players of all time, Stephen Curry's 2024 City Edition jersey is a remarkable and rare jersey for any collection.
Going Deeper - Stephen Curry
Selected by the Golden State Warriors as the 7th overall pick of the 2009 NBA Draft, Curry quickly emerged as an elite scoring and playmaking threat as a point guard. He averaged 17.5 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.5 rebounds and finished second in the Rookie of the Year award voting. Although Curry’s skillset and potential shined bright, the Warriors failed to make the playoffs in his first three seasons. This all changed after the Warriors drafted shooting guard Klay Thompson in 2011. Soon thereafter, Curry and Thompson emerged as the most dangerous shooting backcourt in the game, and were dubbed the ‘Splash Brothers’.
After two consecutive playoff appearances in 2012-2013 and 2013-2014, Curry and the Warriors finally broke through in the 2014-15 NBA Playoffs. The Warriors’ balanced offensive attack of Curry, Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andre Iguodala enabled them to defeat LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers for the franchise’s first championship since the 1974-1975 season. In addition, Curry was voted league MVP.
As it turned out, the ‘Baby-Faced Assassin’ was just getting started.
Curry helped the Warriors win three more championships in 2017, 2018, and 2022. His career accomplishments include ten All-NBA selections, two MVPs, one Finals MVP, two scoring titles, and being named to the 75th Anniversary Team. The NBA 75th Anniversary Team was selected by a blue-ribbon panel of players, coaches, general managers, and sportswriters who voted on the 75 Greatest Players in NBA History. Only 11 active players were selected for the team including Stephen Curry.
In 2021, Curry passed Ray Allen to become the all-time leader in three-pointers in NBA history. He is widely considered perhaps the greatest shooter and one of the best players of all time.
Curry played a major role in Team USA’s run to a gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics. He hit huge shots down the stretch in the Gold Medal game against France, quelling any French hopes of a comeback victory on home soil. This was Curry’s first, and likely only, Olympic gold medal with Team USA.
