This pair of cufflinks was presented to Tsar Ferdinand I of Bulgaria by King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy (1869-1947) in 1930 on the occasion of the wedding of their son and daughter, Tsar Boris III of Bulgaria (1894-1943) and Princess Giovanna of Savoy (1907-2000), celebrated in Assisi.
