The first Dunk to be designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Nike Dunk Low ‘University of Oregon’ PE features a silver suede and leather upper. An Oregon “O” is stitched on the heel, and the Swoosh is in a crisp white. Green accents are found on the stitching and interior lining. The tongue tag features the University of Oregon's Fighting Duck logo, alongside Tinker's signature stitched on the reverse side. The pair is accompanied by an exclusive Go Ducks box, specially designed as part of a limited production run of 1,000 units in collaboration with Division Street.

Originally released in 1985, Nike introduced the Nike Dunk as the premiere basketball sneaker in college basketball. The colorways for the series were based on successful programs around the nation. Kentucky, Michigan, UNLV, Syracuse, St. John’s , Villanova and Iowa all received their own signature shoe. The 1985 Nike ads featured the sneakers with a tagline ‘Be True to Your School’ giving fans an opportunity to support their team from head to toe.
