2010

For the inaugural 2011 World Basketball Festival hosted in New York City, Nike partnered with Jay-Z to produce five of the rarest sneakers ever made available by the brand. For each country represented in the games, there was one Air Force 1 completed in the All Black Everything motif which were sold to benefit The Shawn Carter Foundation.

With pairs dedicated to the USA, Puerto Rico, France, China, and Brazil, each pair featured individual designs making them even more unique. Staying true to the name, the pairs come in an all black upper in a regular and patent leather build. Unique embossings on the heel tabs read ‘BRASIL’ and ‘ALL BLACK EVERYTHING’ on the left and right respectively. The tongue tags read ‘Nike Hov’ with the Jay-Z nickname replacing the Nike Air tag. Further HOV branding is found on the insoles, which also feature the collection of flags from the set. The pair also comes with shoe trees and HOV branded dust bags.

According to the initial sale description by the foundation, only two of each were ever released by Nike, one to Jay-Z and the other to the winners of the auction making these extraordinarily rare.
