Going Deeper | Reggie Jackson

Reggie Jackson's tenure with the New York Yankees from 1977 to 1981 is marked by iconic moments that define his legacy in baseball history. Affectionately known as "Mr. October," Jackson's ability to shine brightest during postseason games became legendary. His explosive power at the plate, leadership on the field, and charisma off it made him a fan favorite.

Jackson's crowning achievement came in the 1977 World Series, where he famously hit three home runs in Game 6, clinching the championship for the Yankees and earning himself MVP honors. Beyond his clutch performances, Jackson's time with the Yankees solidified his status as one of the game's greatest sluggers and a key figure in the team's storied history.

Reggie Jackson was inducted to the Hall of Fame in 1993 and shortly after, the Yankees retired his number 44.
