2 volumes in one, 286 and 204 pages, folio (34.5 x 22cm), dedication leaf and 6 pages of preliminaries, comprising 'The Publisher to the Reader' (pages '(iii)'-'(vi)'), catalogue and table (one leaf) and a leaf of verses (pages '[i]'-'[ii]'), titles in red and black, type-set music, SOME EARLY MANUSCRIPT CORRECTIONS, e.g. to the first book, pp.66 and 67 (the bass part of the fourth system on p.67 written on a strip affixed to the page), four pages supplied in an eighteenth-century-like hand between pp.190 and 193 ('FD [?] scrip[sit]'), some modern pencil annotations, Dolmetsch Library stamp and pencil shelfmark ("II E 20"), rebound retaining original contemporary speckled calf covers, pp.191-192 of first book lacking but supplied in manuscript, browning and spotting
