Description
crisply chased with tablets surrounded by a sun, clouds, and thunderbolts, the rectangular opening inserted with a plaque with Hebrew engravings for Shavuot and Pesach on either side, the plaque secured by a bolted door, the tablets and inscription flanked by free-standing columns topped with leaves and silver-gilt lions rampant, the lions holding a coronate, the lower border of chased anthemia and hung with four silver-gilt bells, the shield hung on a silver chain, the column bases and below the crown marked with maker, city, and 13 marks
