便利堂，於一八八七年成立，歷史悠久，印刷技藝精湛。一九五五年，張大千旅居日本期間，整理精選收藏古代書畫名迹，交由京都便利堂精印出版。全書共四輯，第二輯專收石濤作品，第三輯專收八大山人作品，而第一、四輯則收錄其他歷代名家之作，限量印製。一九七八年，臺灣聯經出版事業公司曾影印再版。
