Description
Château Ausone 2004
St. Emilion, 1er Grand Cru Classé (A)
Good levels, excellent appearance, tissue wrapped and banded until inspection; Bons niveaux, excellente apparence, enveloppé de papier de soie et cerclés jusqu'à l'inspection
Still young and firm, this is a very black fruit wine, a real hallmark of Ausone as it is now. Very fine elements. Fruit and tannin in generous supply, but of course still quite unevolved for this, perhaps, is Bordeaux's longest-living wine. Great promise. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
