An Egyptian Pale Blue-green Faience Ushabti
30th Dynasty, 380-342 B.C.
inscribed for General Tchahorpato, of slender form holding the pick, hoe, and seed-sack, and wearing a braided beard and striated tripartite wig, his finely-modeled face with long eyebrows and cosmetic lines in relief, the column of inscription in front translating “the Illuminated One, the Osiris, General Tchahorpato, son of Ta-sheryt-net-hesat, true of voice”.
Height 15.6 cm.

Part of the wood sarcophagus of the Tchahorpato was discovered at Giza in 1902 and is now in Uppsala (G.
