In 2020, a gleaming, glowing gold - perfect and with tiny bubbles. Intense bready/brioche nose. Deep, sumptuous, lemon curd taste, with a velvety, fine-grained texture. Real vinosity and a taste of wholemeal bread at the end. This still has supreme freshness, with black grape volume and profundity, making it fascinating as an aperitif with grissini, or with chicken liver pâté. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
