Description
Château Latour 1964
Pauillac, 1er Cru Classé
u. ts, damp-stained and nicked label, modern capsule
Last drunk (two times!) in 2011 from a fabulous English country cellar. Lucky me. A bouquet that is sweet, mature and yet fresh, with rosy elements. So spicy, so soft and so luscious on the palate. Very up-front and blushingly beautiful. Melts in the mouth. Not the structure of the 1966 but much more charm. Pure, classy Latour maturity. Almost a toffee gentleness at the end. Oh boy!
