Born in 1976 in San Donà di Piave, near Venice, Annalù (A. Boeretto) is a contemporary Italian artist recognised for her dreamlike sculptures that blend natural elements with experimental materials. Through her innovative use of resin, fibreglass, bark, paper and glass, she constructs “suspended worlds”—delicate, flowing sculptures that defy gravity. Her works—which often resemble blooming lotus flowers, exploding books or dissolving butterflies—evoke a sense of metamorphosis and timeless beauty. This work is part of her Dreamcatcher series of wall sculptures with a radial composition. Its mesmerising central spiral draws one into an otherworldly space.
Annalù has presented more than 30 solo exhibitions around the world in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Texas, Taichung, Bologna, Los Angeles and Singapore, among others. She has garnered critical acclaim and won multiple awards such as the Arte Laguna Prize, the Zaha Hadid Award, and the Stonefly Prize for Contemporary Art. Her work is held in numerous public and private collections in Italy and abroad.
