This pair of vases can be compared with a similar pair published by C. Ravanelli Guidotti, La Fabbrica Ferniani, exhibition catalogue, Milan, 2009, p. 56, cat. no. 68, which are inscribed inside the cover 'FAENZA' in blue. Another pair is preserved in the Civico Museo di Palazzo Madama, Turin, formerly in the D’Azeglio collection (inv. no. 3287). A further example is in the Musée National de la Céramique, Limoges, illustrated by Jeanne Giacometti in Les faïences italiennes du Musée national de céramique à Limoges, in Faenza, XLV, V–VI, 1959, pp. 108–113.

A smaller version of the type, painted with chinoiseries, is in a private collection (Ravanelli Guidotti, op. cit., 2009, no. 68). The scènes galantes on the front of the present pair of vases are after compositions by Jacopo Amigoni (1685- 1752).
