Movement: frosted gilded, duplex escapement, bi-metallic compensation balance, central bridge signed Aubert & Klaftenberger, separate barrels for seconds and going trains, their bridges respectively numbered 5951 and engraved 157 Regent St., London

• Dial: white enamel, two subsidiary dials for mean time with Roman numerals and outer minute ring, separate additional dial for minutes, central independent centre seconds, all hands blued steel, signed to the centre Aubert & Klaftenberger, 157 Regent St., London

Case: 18ct gold, engine-turned covers, enamelled oval cartouche to front with dark blue enamel monogram of interlocking and reversed CC behind V, beneath a Viscount's coronet, gold cuvette with four apertures for winding each train and hand-setting mean time and additional minute subsidiary dial, cuvette engraved Aubert & Klaftenberger Watchmakers to the Queen and H.R.H. Prince Albert, 157 Regent Street, London, No. 5951, case hallmarked 1854 and with maker's mark AS for Alfred Stram
