Movement: gilded full plate, verge escapement, polished steel flat three-arm balance, decoratively pierced and engraved balance cock with a portrait bust at the neck, fusee and chain, cylindrical pillars, diamond end-stone, numbered 1942

Dial: white enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute ring, the centre polychrome enamel painted with Masonic symbols 

• Cases: silver, plain inner and outer cases, the inner with winding aperture to case back, inner and outer hallmarked 1814 and maker's mark WR in oval cameo probably for William Ryley, outer case with woven material watch 'paper' detailing poem of 'The Forsaken Lover'
