A gold quarter repeating verge watch with Masonic themed dial

Circa 1820

• Movement: unsigned gilded full plate with applied decoratively engraved semi-circular bridge, verge escapement, fusee and chain, plain three-arm balance with unusual polished steel skeletonised bridge with heart-form decoration, ruby endstone, two polished steel hammers repeating on blued steel gongs, silver regulation plate with blued steel chapter, numbered beneath the gongs 15421 and 599

• Dial: white enamel chapter ring, Roman numerals, outer decorative gilt engraved border with minute ring above, inner blue enamel ring heightened with gold leaves and white enamel roundels, the dial centre engraved with Masonic emblems

• Case: gold, engine-turned back with vacant cartouche to the base, deeply fluted band, gilt-metal cuvette, case back numbered 15421 and with further indistinct number
