According to the consignor, the tea set has been in the her family for generations, residing in the Northern Kentucky area. It belonged to her great grandmother (likely from her mother) who then gifted the set to her son’s new wife, Emily Powell Laffoon, upon their wedding. It was engraved with monogram EPL for the occasion.
